Theories on Teaching:

"My style of teaching is very technical and open-minded. Every technique taught to the class is explained in great detail. We'll go through every concept from the practicality of a technique, to the weaknesses of it, and even as far as the biological physics of the technique. In other words, I won't just teach you how with the application of a technique, I'll explain to you what the technique is doing physically to the opponent so it can be more easily understood.

Another aspect we get into is the concept of variation. A lot of styles just teach technique. I like to teach every possible variation to a technique, making it a more accessable option as opposed to being limited simply to the one technique. Having trained in various styles and under various instructors, it's easy for me to see the unlimited possibilities for variation on a technique, so I always try my best to convey that to the students."
